How I get Bigo Live Diamonds

Okay so the first time I used Bigo Live, I wasn’t really expecting much. I just wanted to watch a cooking stream. However, within 40 minutes I was in a PK match, screaming into my phone and also buying a virtual rocket with real money for someone called SunnyDumpling_88. I don’t regret it! I did however get a worried face from my bank account.

But since then, I have learnt how to not lose too much money whilst getting diamonds. Diamonds are the in-app currency you give as gifts. So let me show you how I’ve done it! Grab yourself a snack (I’m having dried mango) and let’s go!

No easy way

1. Complete daily tasks

There are a variety of different tasks to complete in Bigo. This will depend on your region and version of the app. But commonly there are:

Daily sign-ins with small rewards

Task lists (such as watching streams for a set amount of time, following some users etc)

Lucky draws/spins during festivals

However, diamonds are not usually given. Instead you’ll get coins, gifts or small bonuses. But I take it as ‘spare change’. Whilst I’m making my morning coffee, I’ll get my daily sign-in in. Over the course of a month it does help. However, these features change often. I can’t guarantee what you’ll get, but just have a tinker around.

2. Top up during promotions

This is my favourite. I am a cheap person at heart!

Sometimes, Bigo will give promotions to top up. These are commonly during holidays, anniversaries and new user times. Sometimes you get extra diamonds for topping up during these times or you may get a discount on your first purchase. I had a promotion going on, so I waited 3 days to top up. Bigo Live Free Diamonds Codes My roommate thought I was crazy, but I got quite a bit more for my money. (She still thought it was hilarious. But I got extra diamonds.)

Never top up on a whim! Wait until the next day and see if there are any promotions available.

3. Only buy from official sources

Sometimes you may see cheaper prices from unofficial sellers. It can be tempting. But if you don’t buy from official sources, you could fall victim to:

Scams (paying but nothing arrives)

Stolen payment diamonds (causing your account to be flagged)

No support if something goes wrong.

I always buy from within the app or Bigo’s official top up section. Not as exciting as getting a deal, but my account is still active. If you are using a top up agent, make sure they are listed/verified by Bigo in your region.

4. Be a streamer!

When people give you gifts during your stream, you earn Beans. These are the streamer currency. Bigo Live Free Diamonds Codes Depending on where you live and what is available at the moment, you can often trade these into cash. In some cases you can trade them in for diamonds. Check your app to see what is available.

I’ve only ever done one live stream. I cooked instant noodles in a fancy way and only 4 people watched. 1 was my cousin. 1 was a bot I think. And the lovely Marcus gave me a small gift. I screamed so loud my neighbour knocked on my wall.

I didn’t get super rich, but had so much fun! If you’re comfortable being on camera, here are a few tips from my very limited experience.

Pick a niche. Even if it sounds silly. My niche was chaotic cooking at home.

Say hello to everyone. People love knowing they are being acknowledged.

Stream at the same time. People will come regularly.

Don’t beg for gifts. It’s awkward and puts people off. Just be entertaining.

5. Be part of a family/community

Bigo has Families. This is a group of people who support each other. You’ll get events, goals and sometimes rewards/bonuses. I’m part of a family full of gamers who are up late at night and 1 super enthusiastic grandma from Manila who sends the best morning messages. It’s not really about diamonds but more about having fun on the app without spending as much. If you’re in a good community you’ll actually want to chat with people.

6. Have a budget (please)

This isn’t the most exciting tip but super important. Gifting can become addictive. But here’s how I stay sane:

Decide how much you’re going to spend per month.

Treat it like a movie ticket or coffee addiction. Once it’s gone it’s gone.

If you know you’re impulsive, turn off any saved payment methods. (I needed this very much!)

Remember you can support streamers by commenting, sharing and just turning up! No cost.

For a lot of streamers, this is actually super important. If you’re a regular and comment every night you’re gold!

Quick summary

Complete daily tasks and events to get small free gifts.

Watch out for promotions when topping up.

Only buy from official sources.

Be brave and stream!

Be part of a community.

Have a budget!

That’s my two pennies! If you have any tips, leave them in the comments below. I’m always looking for new ones and I promise to read them all (probably with more mango).

Until next time, have fun streaming and may the odds be ever in your favour in your PK matches! 💎
