A type of beryl mineral, London Blue Topaz is referred to as a gem of the sun that belongs to the hexagonal crystal system. It has a distinct hue ranging from medium to dark blue and sometimes a little gray, which has an inky and steel-like appearance. Unlike other gemstones, this blue stone is not found in many spots worldwide; however, a majority is mined in Brazil historically.
