Most of Charoite Rings shows rich colors, including lavender and deep purple, sometimes with white, black, or gray streaks or spots. Depending on the specimen, it may be colorless, nearly white, and variably translucent. It says that it does not cleave well; instead, it fractures along cleavage planes. Charoite is a mineral that crystallizes in the monoclinic space group, which defines its inner atomic arrangement and spatial geometry. The hydrothermal metamorphism of limestone creates Charoite; this process gives the flow action and color bands in the stones. Its luster is vitreous, which is glass-like, and slightly pearly.
