Serenity in Sponge Coral: Gemstone Jewelry for Calm and Tranquility

Sponge Coral is formed by a living creature known as a polyp. It gets its name from the sponge-like appearance of its skeleton, a tree-like design, and marked with openings, which is comprised of calcium carbonate. Corals are creatures with tiny, appendage-like arms used to catch food from the water and clear into their mouths. A few types of sponge Coral have a fossil record going back roughly 600 million years to the Precambrian time frame, the earliest period in Earth’s set of experiences.
