Star Amethyst, a young virgin ensnared in the drunken god’s fury, is the protagonist of the story. Seeking safety, she begged Goddess Diana for help, which caused her to change into a glowing pale stone. When Dionysus realized his foolishness, he sobbed into his overturned wine glass, and the wine was absorbed by the white stone, giving it a soft purple hue.
